The Original Glashütte Original Senator Observatory Tourbillon Integrates The Stop Seconds, Zero Return And Minute Stop Devices For The First Time

GLASHÜTTE ORIGINAL was originally created in 1920 by the master watchmaker Alfred Hevig, which gave the tourbillon this complex device a seemingly weightless floating appearance. In 2019, Glashütte Original presents Alfred Hevig’s invention in an advanced cutting-edge, highly sophisticated and sophisticated timepiece, Senator Chronometer Tourbillon Observatory Tourbillon.

For the first time, the brand successfully integrated the flying tourbillon with the stop seconds, zero reset and minute stop devices, thereby achieving high-precision time setting. This platinum edition watch is limited to 25 pieces worldwide and has been officially certified by the Observatory

In addition to the beautiful appearance, the tourbillon design of the Senator Observatory tourbillon watch still maintains its most useful purpose. The zero reset and minute stop devices ensure that the minute and second hands are synchronized, thereby achieving high-precision time setting. To set the time, pull the crown out first. This triggers a vertical clutch that locks the tourbillon frame, which immediately stops the balance wheel. If the crown is then pulled further outward and held still, the second hand moves clockwise to the zero position, and the minute hand moves to the next hour mark. During this process, rotation damping ensures smooth operation. Now when you release the crown, the second hand will still stay at zero, so you can set the time accurately with a minimum accuracy of minutes.

The watch is equipped with a movement 58-05 with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 70 hours. It is indicated by the power reserve display at 9 o’clock

The faceplate design of the Senator Observatory Tourbillon watch is equally wonderful. Under the electroplated blue eccentric faceplate, different levels and rich decoration together show a charming picture. The face plate and flying tourbillon are like small lighthouses rising up and down in the waves of the undulating movement, thus forming an amazing three-dimensional effect. The open design and translucent sapphire glass second hand scale ring immerse the audience with the deep three-dimensionality of the watch. Various hand-engraved and classic Glashütte column patterns are polished for perfect decoration.
